Kindred Healthcare is an operator of nationwide long-term nursing centers and hospitals. Successful.com was retained to verify the ROI assumptions related to its outfitting physical therapists with mobile devices.
The primary objective was to assess the value of their mobile application for automating patient charge and time card data entry tasks, as well as estimate potential additional ROI value for this and other applications running on the mobile devices.
A secondary objective was to determine if new metrics to assess ROI should be added for the second part of the pilot project. Additionally, we wanted to determine if the expectations of senior management, line managers, physical therapists and IT were in synch since ultimately any deployment’s success depends heavily upon this.
Key project deliverables included:
Kindred Project Manager Marc Verdi reports on the results of our efforts.
"We retained Successful.com to validate and expand upon our ROI assumptions. This was critical to moving the project from pilot into broader production, with millions of dollars at stake.
"Principal Craig Settles implemented a quick and painless exercise that involved business process surveys in the field. The goal was to validate our ROI concepts, deliver a clear analysis and recommend creative ways to extract additional value from our investment.
"Craig operated independently, was a major contributor, communicated clearly and managed the expectations of all stakeholders. In the final analysis, his input was one of the keys to advancing our product into production, giving us a clearer understanding of the mechanics of the product ROI as well as financial benchmarks."
